The 19th

Decisions, dates and open items — the running notebook.
How to use this file
The running notebook for The 19th. Decisions, the reason behind them, and anything still open. An entry only goes in when there’s a clear decision worth keeping — not a musing.
Decisions
- 2026-06-27 — Brand OS replaces the PDF. The v1 guidelines become source material and an optional download; this Portal is the maintained version. Reason: one living format, not two.
- 2026-06-26 — Name: “The 19th Brand OS.” Client-first; never expanded to “Operating System”, never bare “Brand OS”.
- 2026-06-19 — Identity finalised with Barry: flag badge is primary, wordmark for large scale, small-use mark for tiny sizes. Logo lettering is custom artwork, never a font.
- 2026-06-19 — Typeface: Satoshi Variable (Fontshare). Caps headings, sentence-case body.
- 2026-06-10 — Palette locked: Deep Navy
#1A2D4E, Sea-Glass#B4D9D2, White. Extracted exact from the master logo files. - 2026-06-04 — Pivot back to The 19th with the golf simulator as hero, positioned as a premium golf simulator (not “lounge”). Private members’ model on the building manager’s advice.
Corrections
- Don’t call it “the facility” or “the unit” — it’s “the sim”.
- Don’t set sea-glass as text on white — it fails contrast. Accent and background only.
- Don’t re-type the logo name in a font to fake the lockup — always use the artwork.
